Captus Generation is pleased to confirm that it has signed a definitive purchase and sale agreement with Gryphon Digital Mining Inc. (NASDAQ:GRYP), as announced by Gryphon earlier today. The agreement will see Gryphon acquire all the assets of Captus Generation, notably a large industrial site 20 kilometres south of Pincher Creek, Alberta, and plans for cost-effective clean electricity development. The Captus senior management team will stay with Gryphon and will continue to work to realize the Captus opportunity.
Captus Generation submits preliminary assessment request to AESO
Captus Generation has completed an important regulatory process step by submitting a System Access Service Request (SASR) to the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO). AESO uses the SASR process to evaluate the impact of proposed new electricity generation projects on the transmission grid.
Captus Generation advances unique clean power hub development in Southwest Alberta
Captus Generation is advancing plans to build new, carbon-neutral, gas-fired power generation facilities near Pincher Creek. The development will supply reliable electricity to Alberta’s grid and potentially support on-site power-consuming businesses such as data centres.
